Tax Warehouse
The introduction of the Excise Duty on coffee in January 2017 created a number of challenges for coffee trade in Greece, particularly in terms of import and the export of roasted coffee to international markets.
El Cafe operates an officially licensed tax warehouse, offering partners the ability to store raw materials under suspension of tax obligations such as Excise Duty and VAT.
This means that businesses sourcing our green coffee can manage their stock more flexibly, reduce cash flow pressure, and improve liquidity.
Our tax warehouse also allows us to support export activities more effectively. Partners can purchase coffee without the immediate payment of taxes, provided it is intended for international markets. In doing so, we help improve our clients’ competitiveness by providing solutions that simplify and support their commercial operations.
